Step 1: How do you connect to the internet?

  1. Cable Modem (NTL or Telewest)
  2. ADSL Broadband or you use an ISP
How you connect to the internet decides what kind of router you use.
If you connect via a phone line then you likely have ADSL.

If you connect via the same cable you use for cable television, then you would have cable.
